Nadja's Wings Shawl
“Nadja’s Wings” is the batty-est shawl of them all and is here to make your spooky season even spookier!
Use my Ribbon Candy Crochet techniques to craft this uniquely-shaped batwing shawl. It’s just the perfect size to keep your neck and shoulders warm as the temperatures drop. And while the shape is wild, my construction style makes for a meditative and pleasant stitching experience. It’s a pattern that will stimulate your mind and relax your day. So warm up the cocoa, pull four favorite skeins from your stash and start this innovative shawl today!
The wingspan of your blocked shawl will be approximately 72” with a center drop of 18.“
Level: Intermediate. To complete this project you must be able to read a chart or a pattern, maintain even tension, count accurately, and stitch confidently into starting chains. Nadja’s Wings introduces some new tricks to my Ribbon Candy Crochet repertoire. If you’re familiar with my patterns, it will still be very accessible to you.
It would be a tougher introduction to my Ribbon Candy Crochet techniques than my shawl or scarf book, but still do-able if you can trust the pattern and keep your Column sides straight in your head. Crocheters of all skill levels will find success with diligent counting during the Foundation and Row 1, especially.
This downloadable crochet pattern includes all the information you need to make your own Nadja’s Wings shawl. With written English directions, ample Charts, Diagrams and Photos for support.
